Verify the App Store Listing
Shadowrocket is sold only through the App Store. Check the store region, verify the developer, official icon, and app ID, then complete your purchase by following the store prompts.
- Developer: Shadow Launch Technology Limited
- App ID: 932747118
- $2.99 one-time purchase · US store reference
- For iPhone and iPad
Actual pricing, system requirements, and purchase eligibility are determined by the App Store listing.
Store & Account Region
This app is not available in the China mainland App Store. If you can’t find Shadowrocket, first check the country or region of the Apple ID you use for the App Store. Don’t rely on search results alone to determine whether the app is available. Your account region determines which store content you can see; your device’s location, system language, and the storefront address shown on the product webpage do not, by themselves, indicate which store your account uses.
The button on this page opens Shadowrocket’s App Store product page. The link uses the US storefront, but the App Store determines whether you can make a purchase based on your current account. Being able to read the product information in a browser doesn’t guarantee that your account can complete the transaction. If you see a region notice, resolve the store and account requirements first rather than repeatedly trying in-app connection settings.
To check your region, open Settings on your device, tap Apple ID, then go to “Media & Purchases” and choose “View Account” to see “Country/Region.” You may need to authenticate first. Make sure you’re checking the account used for media purchases, not just the account name shown at the top of your device settings.

Identify the Genuine Shadowrocket App
The name helps you find the app; verify it by checking the developer, official icon, and app ID.
Search results may include apps with the same or similar names. Before buying, don’t rely on the title containing Shadowrocket or treat a similar icon color as proof. Open the product details and check these three items. If any one of them doesn’t match, return to the product link on this page and check again.
Check that all three details match
- Developer
- Shadow Launch Technology Limited
- Official icon
- A rocket with a blue-purple outline on a white background, matching the official icon in this site’s header.
- App ID
932747118, corresponding toid932747118in the product link.
Check the developer’s full name rather than matching just one word. The app ID distinguishes this product from others; a similar title is no substitute for this identifier. Once all three details match, review the price, compatibility, and purchase button before paying.
The two images alongside this text are official App Store screenshots. Home shows the connection toggle, Global Routing, Connectivity Test, and the SERVER group; Add Server shows where to enter connection details. They illustrate the app’s features and entry points, but are not a substitute for verifying the developer and app ID.
Not Connected in a screenshot means there is no active connection; it doesn’t mean the app failed to install. Add Server on the Home screen also doesn’t mean the app includes a usable server. The interface may vary by device, language settings, and app updates, so layouts can change. Use the English labels in the current app to find each option.
iPhone / First Launch
Buy and Open Shadowrocket on iPhone
On iPhone, use the product button on this page to open the App Store. Verify the listing, then check its compatibility section. System requirements are determined by the App Store listing. If the store says your device isn’t compatible, follow the notice shown on your device; older system information on a webpage is no guarantee that the app will install.
Once you’ve confirmed the product, complete the purchase using the App Store price button and authentication prompts. After purchase, wait for the app to appear on your Home Screen or in the App Library, then open Shadowrocket. If the store still shows a pending or downloading status, check that the store task has finished before troubleshooting server settings.
Opening the app for the first time and making your first connection are separate steps. Installation means the client is available on your device; next, you’ll need to import your own existing subscription or server details. Go to Add Server from Home to enter details manually, or choose an import method that matches the information you already have. See the setup guide for instructions.
When you first try to connect, the system may ask for permission to add a VPN configuration. This allows the client to create a system connection profile. Review the prompt and decide whether to allow it after confirming that you initiated the action. The system may also request your device passcode or authentication. Granting permission does not guarantee that the remote server is reachable.
If you dismiss the authorization prompt, return to the app and check its status. Make sure you have your existing connection details ready before trying again. If the connection fails, distinguish between incomplete system permissions and incorrect server settings or network conditions. These issues require different steps; buying the client again won’t fix incorrect connection details.
iPad / Purchase Record
iPad and Purchases on the Same Account
Shadowrocket is available for both iPhone and iPad: use the purchase history for the same Apple ID to get it on another compatible device. First, check that the iPad App Store is signed in with the account used for the original purchase, then open Purchased. You should typically see an option to redownload rather than buy the client again. System requirements and purchase eligibility are determined by the App Store listing.
The larger display area on iPad may make lists, settings, and detail pages look different from their iPhone counterparts. Use labels such as Home, Add Server, Config, and Settings to find features; buttons don’t have to be in the same position as in a screenshot. Changing the device’s orientation can also affect the layout.
Purchase eligibility and configuration details are separate. Being able to redownload the app on iPad doesn’t mean that every server setting or configuration file from your iPhone is already on your iPad. After installing, check what’s actually listed, import your own subscription or server details, verify Global Routing and the active Config, then test the connection.
App Store Availability on Other Apple Devices
The compatibility section of the same App Store product page also lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing on your target device. Universal purchase availability, system requirements, and device eligibility are determined by the App Store listing; don’t infer the purchase outcome for another device from what you see on iPhone.
If a device doesn’t show the expected download option, check its App Store account, compatibility, and the product page prompts. The fact that the app is installed on another device doesn’t mean every device meets the same requirements. This page focuses on purchase and restore steps for iPhone and iPad; for other devices, follow the relevant App Store listing.
Restore / Purchased
Restore a Purchase After Switching Devices or Reinstalling
When you switch devices or reinstall the app, start by finding the original purchase. Sign in with the Apple ID used to buy Shadowrocket, then find it under App Store → Account → Purchased and tap the redownload option. If the original purchase is available and the device meets the store requirements, you won’t need to pay the client’s one-time purchase price again.
- On your new device, open the App Store and go to your account page. Confirm that “Media & Purchases” uses the account that made the original purchase.
- Open Purchased, search for Shadowrocket, verify the developer and app details, then download it again. System labels may change, so follow what’s currently shown on your device.
- Open the app and check whether your existing configuration is there. If needed, import your own subscription or server details again.
- Check Global Routing and the active configuration, then follow the system prompts to authorize the connection and test it.
If the product page still shows a price, pause before paying and check whether you’re signed in with a different purchase account. The account used for other services on your device may differ from your App Store purchase account; seeing that an account is signed in isn’t enough. Check the account’s purchase history to confirm that the original purchase was made with it.
If the account matches but you still can’t find the purchase, check hidden purchases, any changes to the account region, and the prompts on the store page. The App Store manages purchase history, billing, and availability, so follow its account support process. Don’t tap the price button repeatedly to check whether a purchase exists.
Restoring the app and restoring its configuration are different tasks. Check your server address, authentication fields, subscription link, and custom rules against your own backups. Before reinstalling, securely save any configuration details you still need. This information may contain access credentials; don’t include it in public screenshots or share it with people who don’t need it.
If you use Family Sharing, first check the family-sharing information on the current product page, then review your Family Sharing group and purchase-sharing settings. Eligibility depends on the App Store listing and your account status. Restoring a purchase on the same account does not automatically mean family members are eligible to get the app.
Price / One-time Purchase
Price and One-Time Purchase
Shadowrocket is a paid client sold for a one-time purchase, not a monthly fee. The US store reference price is $2.99; prices are shown in each storefront’s local currency. Actual pricing, taxes, and purchase eligibility are determined by the App Store listing. Before paying, rely on the confirmation screen shown for your current account.
A one-time purchase describes how the client is sold; it doesn’t cover every cost associated with using it. When reviewing the product details, check the price, In-App Purchases section, compatibility, and purchase requirements. Verify these details on the current store page rather than relying on an old screenshot to predict a future transaction.
The client and connection services have separate costs. The App Store handles the former; the latter depends on the arrangements for services you already use. Successful installation, purchase restoration, and server connectivity are separate checks and cannot replace one another. A purchase record alone won’t make a usable connection appear in an empty SERVER list.
App Store manages app updates. Check your device’s automatic update settings or look for available updates in the App Store. Refer to the product page for update information. This official manual doesn’t list version numbers or release dates, which could become outdated as store information changes.
Before buying, check three things: your account can access the relevant store, your device meets the compatibility requirements, and you have the connection details you’ll need. This helps you assess whether you can buy the client separately from how to configure a connection. If you’re looking for help entering settings or configuring rule-based routing, read the setup guide and protocol reference.
Purchase / FAQ
Download and Purchase FAQs
Check the store prompt first, then troubleshoot your account, device, and app configuration separately.
Why can’t I find Shadowrocket in the App Store?
This app is not available in the China mainland App Store. Your Apple ID’s country or region determines which store content you can see; the storefront shown on a webpage does not indicate your account’s region. First check your account under Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Country/Region, then open the product link on this page to check availability.
What if the product page opens but the download won’t complete?
Follow the App Store prompts to check your account region and payment status, then verify device compatibility, available storage, and your network connection. Check the App Store listing for system requirements. Store download issues and in-app connection setup are separate matters: finish downloading the app before troubleshooting connection details.
Do I have to pay again after switching devices or reinstalling?
Use the Apple ID that made the original purchase. Find Shadowrocket under App Store → Account → Purchased and download it again; you typically won’t need to pay for the client again. If a price still appears, check the account used for Media & Purchases, your purchase history, and store availability. After restoring the app, verify your own subscription or server details.
Can I install it on my iPad after buying it on my iPhone?
Use the purchase history for the same Apple ID to get Shadowrocket on both iPhone and iPad. Check the original purchase in the iPad App Store; system requirements and purchase eligibility are determined by the App Store listing. A purchase record is not a configuration file, so you’ll need to import and verify existing connection details separately.
Where can I get Shadowrocket for Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Vision?
The compatibility section of the same App Store product page lists Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision. Check the listing on your target device. System requirements, universal purchase availability, and device eligibility are all determined by the App Store listing.
How do I follow the instructions if the app is in English?
An English interface alone does not confirm that you have the correct app. Check the developer, official icon, and app ID. This official manual keeps interface labels such as Home, Add Server, Global Routing, and Config in English so you can find them in the app. Compare them with the official App Store screenshots on this page, then read the setup guide.
